Back garden design Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 consisted of a paved area with limestone slabs, grass area and decorative gravel path leading to the shed. Softwood raised flower beds, planting including camellia, rhododendron, lavenders, agapanthus and climbers. A wooden fence and timber raised beds to soften the whole look of the garden. Moreover, details like the plastered and painted wall at the back of the garden, climbers trained on the diamond-shaped framed trellis, garden furniture, BBQ and custom-made side gate allowed the plain 90m2 grass area to be transformed by our experienced team into a pleasant and functional living space.
The client bought this newly built property in Rathfarnham with very a basic back garden design - grass area with shed. Our team has designed and implemented a comfortable living place that suits the client's needs and desires. The shed was moved to the opposite corner of the garden. Diamond shape, framed pressure treated trellis was set up on the side of the shed and climber was trained. The rear wall was plastered, painted with a light lavender colour and another trellis was set up and the climber was planted in front of it to create a smart finish and stand-out background for the whole garden. For the same reason, a raised flower bed was created in front of the back garden door. Aspects of Landscaping used also softwood railway sleepers to create raised beds along the left-hand side of the garden. Softwood edging was also used to divide the grass area and decorative gravel path.
The whole grass area was raised approximately 20cm to match the level with the patio area. Over five tons of sand-soil mixed with minerals were levelled and compacted to feed turfgrass. Aspects of Landscaping used "Kota Blue" limestone and fudge for this back garden design Rathfarnham. Raised beds were covered with mypex membrane before bark was spread and planting done. Mypex membrane was also used on the path to stop the growth of weeds. As a final stage, the back garden design Rathfarnham was upgraded with garden furniture and BBQ.
