This approximately 50m2 low maintenance garden was designed by Marta Durek and build by Aspects of Landscaping team. Before we created this Urban garden design Lucan, Couty Dublin Marta visited the place before the design has started. She interviewed clients regarding the purpose of the design, their favourite materials, colours and plants. As next Marta has created 2D and 3D design and list of plants for client's approval. Aspects of Landscaping has proposed the quote according to the design and clients budget that was agreed before the design has started. After small changes client decided to go ahead with the project and has nominated Aspects of Landscaping team to commence the work.
The main idea of this urban garden design Lucan was to create a relaxing, low maintenance, modern space by using high-quality materials. Aspects of Landscaping divided the place into two levels and paved the whole area using yellow granite paving slabs. As a standing out feature raised and rendered flower bed was built. The same raised flower bed was used as a back support and four inches thick, Spanish oak was hung as a sitting bench. 1 meter in diameter custom fire pit was built in front of the bench. The modern shed was also provided and erected by Aspects of Landscaping team. At the end of the construction process, timber products were implemented such as fence above the opposite wall of the garden, timber bins shed was build and timber side gate was hang. Marta has agreed with the clients that major colours of the walls will be light as a new build extension. Aspects of Landscaping painted the raised flower bed using an anthracite colour that matches big sliding door frame. Low flower beds with ornamental shrubs and herbs like boxhedge, taxus, azalea, magnolia, rhododendron, skimmia, ophipogon, calluna, lavender, mint, rosmarinus, sage, salvia and thyme were also implemented as part of the design. Climbers like Wisteria and Clematis were planted as a final touch.
